adaptive brake lever update
I got a lot of help here, so I feel compelled to provide an update.
I was looking for a way to manage my road brakes from one side of the bike. I got a lot of suggestions here.

I bought a Paul e-Lever and it was pretty cool, but I couldn't get it mounted out of the the way enough on my big-bulge bars. I hated riding on the lump.
I'd been told that I couldn't use a cross lever as a standalone, that they only worked as pass through levers. Because I'd never seen one I believed it was true. But recently I read I could use one as a standalone lever. I bought Salsa levers and installed one up high near the bulge. It's out of the way, but "grabable" as an emergency brake if I need it. I'm liking it a lot. Now I have a Paul E-Lever that I'll need to buy a bike for
I'm thinking fixie.
Hope this is helpful for someone searching the forums someday.
