IRO Group Buy TRADE thread!!
Ok, i'm going to go ahead and state the obvious: a LOT of people on this forum are gonna want to trade their IRO group buy framesets, and probably for lots of different reasons (yes, i'm one of those people). Soo... i'll start:
wanted: FLAT BLACK group buy frameset (or just frame, i'm down with either); 53cm, 1" steerer (threaded)
i have: BLUE group buy frameset (again, or just frame); 53cm, 1" steerer (threaded)
(if you must know, i came into some components that won't work as well with blue as they would with black)

HAVE: 53cm black, threadless
WANT: 56cm, threadless, any color
I'm in chicago, so a face-to-face trade would be ideal.

that, and a lot of **** can happen in three months. there are people who buy and sell all the time and probably don't need one now. don't just assume we're too poor.

I have the money and parts, I just want to see how the size runs. I thought a 53cm[threaded] would be a true 53cm, but that does not seem to be the case. Its seems that a 56cm would have been more suitable for my size. I don't think I'll sell mine. I may trade, but I may also make a bike for my friend since that frame would fit her.
Edit. I also put money down on that bike when I still had my last bike. Then I destroyed my last bike trying to remove the seatpost and got a new frame and fork in the meantime.

I'm looking at the Mark V geometry right not on the IRO site.

center to center and center to toptube should only be about a centimeter difference. Not 4

I have deleted offers to buy/sell. It's against forum policy and most of you know better, now cut it out.

That's a 4cm difference between C-C and C-T. A 1 cm difference between the two would put the "top" below the upper level of the top tube.

i don't get why anyone's surprised about anything. The size chart clearly lists every measurement and whether it's c-c or c-t, etc. Regardless of what you're used to, if a sizing chart was provided with specifics, why is there any confusion? Granted-- $150 isn't a lot of money, but why would you throw ANY money at something without at least taking a quick look at what it is you were buying?? Makes no sense to me...
