Garmin Edge 205
I just picked up the Garmin Edge 205. SO far, I'm pretty impressed with it.
I'm curious how the data downloads work and whether the basic free membership on the motion website is worth it or whether I need to upgrade to the membership option.
My only concern is the 12 hour battery... on a multi-day bike tour, I'm wondering how I can keep it charged.

I have the 305 and just use the Garmin software and the free MotionBase when I want to send a link to someone on a recent ride. I believe I read a post in the MotionBased forum or might have been BF Forum, about someone that found a way to charge the unit on a un-supported tour. You could always just pack the plug and just find a plug and give it a quick shot of juice at a rest stop.

Here's another question... I was able to use the two mounts that came with this on two of my bikes. is there a way to get additional mounting kits for other bikes? I think a neat feature of this is being able to take it from bike to bike.

Here is a list:
https://www8.garmin.com/cgi-bin/us_dealers.pl?state=MI or I have real good things about Jay at Try Jay https://www.geomangear.com/. I did not get the cadence unit with mine, but I am planning to buy one and will more than likely get it from geomangear. The owner is a BF member, GEOMAN. Might want to PM him for info.
