Seeking 69cm bike or frame - c-c, steel

Hi,
Here's a tough one: I am seeking a 69cm (center to center) bike or frameset or frame. I know Raleigh and Schwinn have made them; Fuji may have. Would prefer a steel alloy, but, will accept 'gas-pipe' steel.

Bikes: 1987 Schwinn Peloton

I have seen these bikes come up ebay occasionally and when they do they don't sell for much since the interest is usually not there. I've always wondered how tall a person was that was riding these. Do a couple searches on ebay with the words '69cm bicycle' or '68cm bicycle' and when nothing shows up save the search and it will notify you when someone puts one up for auction. I do this for a lot of stuff I'm looking for and in time it shows up. Good Luck

I have a frame you might be interested in, 27"/68cm, only a 56cm top tube though.

It needs a new home.

Bikes: Classic lugged-steel road, touring, gravel

I have a 68cm '81 Schwinn Traveler...

I was told by the LBS that the rider of this size frame should be at least 6'8" but that sounds kind of tall. I was thinking maybe 6'6".

I am 6' 5", and 68 is just perfect for me. But I can also get away with a bit shorter. jim

We had a 68.5cm '78 LeTour come into the bike library last summer. I worked on it and test rode it before it went on the floor for check out. I'm 6'6" and it was slightly too big for my comfort zone. I thought we'd never check it out. I figured someone would have to be at least 6'7" to fit this thing. Well, a couple of days later during the next retail hours this guy walks in and he's gotta be 6'8" or 6'9". I say... "I've been waiting for you... here's your bike!" Needless to say, he was very pleased and surprised to find something that fit.

Beaverstuff, how tall are you, man?

I'm 6' 3", but have long legs and short trunk. My 67.5cm Fujis fit standover with room to spare.
Am looking for a 69cm frame for bragging rights.

Took a look at the frameset - pretty! For a steel frameset, I think he's asking too much.
On the other hand, he's not all that eager to sell - I don't blame him.

It's obviously steel or a steel alloy - any idea what kind of alloy?
Do you have an image you can post? Is the 27" c-c or c-t - makes a difference!
