Will The Lizzies be there? If so, count me in. God, I can't tell you how many times I watched this movie on WPIX when I was growing up. I miss that station. I'm sub teach and one of the students I've had in class has an uncle...better known as Cowboy. I'm jealous and wish my uncle was a Warrior.

that is awesome, and if it wasn't a wednesday night i would take a bus up to new york for a night and see it there.

i went to school with a kid who has an uncle named BIFF TANNEN!
"i hate manure!" i used to make fun of that kid so much for his uncle being biff.

Ah thats a blast from the past. remember the call in video game on PIX?

Warriors - Classic, I wish I could go see it. I may have to go home tonight and polish up my favorite bat.

ahh, memories. listening to those kids on the phone screaming 'PIX! PIX! PIX! PIX! PIX!' was always both hysterical and totally frustrating. then of course the 'this is serious' prescription drug psa with those weird m&m looking puppets would come on immediately afterwards:
'this is serious [serious]
we could make you delirious [delirious]
you should have a healthy fear of us [fear of us]
too much of us is dangerous
no no no nooooooooo.....
we're not candy [believe us!]
even tho we look so fine and dandy
when yr sick we come in handy
BUT
we're not candy'

ok, that was a ridiculous tangent.
sorry.

YEah Pix was hot. I imagined some 60 year old guy on the other end with an atari joystik mashing buttons while the kid would 'pix; like a machine gun. I'm sorry I never had a chance to 'pix' it up.

Ah, memories of my suburban CT childhood. Summer vacation mornings spent glued in front of the TV watching threes company reruns until mom kicked me out of the house around 10-- then riding around the neighborhood on dirt bikes with friends the rest of the day getting into various kinds of trouble.

PIX was awesome, as were the singing pills.

I remember begging my mom to send me to that "happy people's day camp" with the smiley-face balloon.

Funny coincidence, since I had never seen much of this film, but WAS discussing "The Warriors" last week on here. Caught some of "American Gigolo" today and saw a scene where Richard Gere roughs up a guy trailing him. Gere/Julian shoves the guy up against a wall, covered with...a Warriors advertisement poster/placard!! Oh man, I got really excited. I think I saw some members of the Van Cortlandt Rangers over the guy's right shoulder...and maybe a few Baseball Furies.

Just picked a copy up for 10 dollars at Virgin. One of those impulse buys at the check out while I was buying the first season of Lost.

B.A.B, I commend you on the purchase of that fine film! I actually got it for my older brother for Christmas last year. I am hoping that at some point I can steal it from him for myself, which was really my secret intention all along. I hope you have already watched it.

Haha, I must know you, because they are my friends! Perhaps you are one of the kids I don't know well. Anyway, I'm Liz.
