Code 6000392 still working for Performance as of 10/13/04

I logged in immediately as well - still no Team Performance coupon checkbox. I gave up on the 20% + 3% kickback and went to the store today. It's only about $13 difference anyway.

Just used 6000392 and it worked (10/19/2004). Saved me 42 bucks

I just tried to use 6000392 on Performance's website and got the message - The system could not find your Gift Certificate, or your Gift Certificate has already been used. I've placed orders with other coupon codes before, but not this one. Anyone else having this problem? Any other codes I could try? I sure would like to get that extra 20% off! Thanks.

Nashbar #681342 did not work on the web site, but I placed an order last night on their web site and phoned Customer Service today. They were kind enough to apply the discount over the phone today.

I placed an order with Nashbar last night and tried to use coupon# 681342. I was told by the order taker that she could not apply it and call customer service today. I called customer service and they told me that was not a Nashbar code. I also tried one off a catalog I received (CR195) and was told that had expired. Just my luck...thanks for listening to my rambling.


UPDATE: I called customer service again with coupon code 68132...was not a valid number. So I tried W196 as per the Nashbar thread and luckily received 10% off my order. Thanks to Barb and Nashbar for helping a poor cyclist. My business is yours...hopefully I will have the codes correct before I place my next order!!!

In another forum, people are having problems with the Performance coupons. Be careful- they're showing it applied in email confirmation, but invoice and billing are different. Perf has said customer must pay return shipping.

Thing is, without knowing where these mystery codes are coming from we can't really complain too much if they don't work out. Where did this 6000402 come from?

If I have an email showing one price and the CC gets billed at another amount, I would let the CC company deal with it.

Looks like Performance code 6000403 works.

Be sure to check invoice and cc bill.

I had this problem last week and am waiting on another order at the moment. I called Performance and they asked me to fax them my confirmation email showing that the cupon code gave the discount and that they would refund the difference. I hope to not have to do this every time but for 20% am willing to.

Edit: Just checked and they actually refunded extra. Also the order I was waiting for today came in and the 20% discount was billed properly.

Don't they ever ask where you got the coupon from? Do they come with the catalogs or previous purchase?

Somebody posted the origin of one of the Performance codes once - it was part of some sort of advertisement or flyer - probably early in this thread.

6000403 saved me $25. Helmet, pair of Pro Race tires, tubes, patch kits, mirror and sweatband. Happy Un-Birthday to me! I also figured out how to select USPS shipping this time (it used to only allow 2nd-day air, $25 to Hawaii) and redeemed my measly 625 team points for some more savings.

I also found out that retail team points coupons can be used for mail-ordering from their catalogs.

I must be one of the lucky ones.. out of the 15 or so times I've used the various Performance 20% coupon codes, not once did they over charge my debit card. Same for 10% NashBar codes.
