Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

Please don't think of it as a challenge, unless that makes it more fun.

If vopobl can do this for $500, in a way that I and others could replicate, I would consider that a victory for everyone.

Here in America, though, we have a saying.

Probably the same saying everywhere and not just America.

"Cheap, light, strong: pick two."

Just a heads-up: There's also a Langster Comp on there, ending today. Good components and I believe they are like 14.9lbs.

I'm betting that I could infuse my steel frame with some drillium and nab the first two in an extreme fashion

a little old, but saw the titanium frame at bicycle station the other day and mike there only has one or two left. One's a 49? and maybe a 54? but it's def not more than 800 but don't think the guy that makes em is making anymore for the time being.
