Out fishing with Annie on his lap, a cigar in one hand and a ginger ale in the other, watching the sunset.

The New Classic Rigs and Rides Thread 1.1
Sorry all, we had to remove the original. It was getting warnings from cached picture URL's from a members site who got hacked by a bunch of Russians, even though he removed the images and took his site offline. Google has the domain blacklisted, which triggered false positives with many antivirus programs. Rather than constantly putting out fires with members getting nervous, I've quarantined the thread until he gets the URLs sanitized with Google, at which point I'll restore it and merge this thread in with it.
Meantime, here's my old classic.....
1971 Nishiki Custom Sport, converted (Not hacked up) into a FG. I left the cable stops and deraileur hanger on rather than ruining any ability to restore it to a full road bike.

Well, hell. Might as well have a De Rosa on the first page:
And here's my classic Mondia Super:
And just for good measure - the Mondia and a friend's Tommasini, getting ready to rumble:

I'm game.
-- it's an '85 John Howard Turbo, built at that time by KHS (but still a damn fine frame)
Repurposed into a dandy Town/commuter
Rolling on 650B wheels (Rigida Sphinx Rims, Soma B-Line Tires)
Brooks B-17
PB Eco Rack
V-O City Levers and Porteur Bars
Nitto Technomic stem
PB Cascadia Fenders
Grip Kings
1x8 drive train (Deore RX w/bar ends - altho here it is shown PRIOR to having the bar end installed. I keep a 'phantom' lever on the left side... just to keep the balance. Always looking for something interesting to screw on the left side DT boss.)
The remaining parts are scrounged.
Fun as heck and people always comment on the lugwork

I guess BBM is right - you really can't swing a dead cat without hitting a red De Rosa.
My 1986 Professional
My 1982-ish Ron Cooper
And the 1967 Paramount

Right on, an excuse to post the bikies.
The Raleigh Tora mixtie, my wife's commuter:
Another Raleigh mixtie, a Record. Built this up for a friend, she takes it on our booze cruises:
My Bianchi, unknown model and year. Currently a SS city bike:
Marinoni, my wife's road bike. Nice and dusty in this pic.:
The Jeunet, my city bike. Now with gears!
