2016 Track World Championships
The World Championships start next week in London.
World Championships during an Olympic year are always interesting. We get to see who the countries will likely send to the Olympics and we also may get to see some new equipment as well.
Post anything you folks may find on the upcoming event or chat in general.
I'm curious to see what the US squad does as well as Cav.
EDIT:
Results can be found here.

I was just watching the national team on the track this morning getting ready (canadian). Men team pursuit are going, first time in probably 10+ years that we qualified. Hugo is going, and the 2 women sprinters, and of course the women's endurance who hopefully can medal.
Really interested to see how the US women do with the 'big guns' out. I don't think they will medal but that team has come a long way still. Of course Hammer in the omnium is always one to watch.
Men's Keirin will be another good race, a lot of crazy fast guys there.

I think our local girl, Chloe Dygart, got named to the women's TP squad - they'll be faster than people expect I think. It'll be fun to see who is "slow" as that may tell us as much about Rio as who is going fast.

Should point out this is also the 'retirement year' for a lot of racers. A lot of guys in that age range where 4 years out is too much, you either are going to Rio (and subsequently worlds) or you are done. Already know of a couple in their mid/late 20s that retired as soon as they didn't qualify for this year. Of course if you are only 20 or 22 then next olympic cycle is still an option.
Still interesting to see the careers of riders and how they are influenced by olympic cycles. The commitment to race 2020 games started already.

Long time greats Pendleton, Hoy, Jennie Reed, etc... all retired after the last Olympics.

"sweet, we live in a connected world where we can watch something live on the other side of the world!"
"wait sorry X company owns the rights in your country and can't without paying them for it"

Crazy! Beat Canada by several seconds!!
I'm following live on Tissot Live Timing
Just timing updates, but pretty exciting nonetheless. Looks like Becky James didn't make her initial qualifier in Keirin. . .
Up right now is the Men's Kilo. Woo!
