Today I (v2):
Glad you like the levers, UltraManDan. I wish all brake levers came with the Campy-style quick release.

Today I went for a 25mi FG ride. I was trying to sell my Felt a few months ago but now I'm glad I couldn't find a buyer because lately I like it even more than my road bike.

NEW BARS DAY! I technically rode the bike once with some Modolo bars I had laying about and they just sucked too vintage and not comfortable for my taste, Welcome the Nitto M184 STI bars which ironically are not being used with STI levers.but Dura Ace 740x Aero Levers . I finally got them in and installed them first thing after I walked in the door. I am probably going to retape the housing a little before I do the actual wrap especially since I didn't have any electrical tape and reused the little bit on the old bar and then had to go for some finishing tape.
I also installed my new Sugino 75 Direct Drive cranks onto the Langster frame but forgot to take pictures but hopefully I will have better ones when the bike is all done.
The Luna Bars are Chocolate Cupcake and are quite delicious (and also happened to be on sale) but the box was actually mostly CLIF shots and Bars at one point and is now a hodgepodge of various power foods, in case you were wondering.

mouse: Thanks, I am glad you aren't the only one who is hard here...it would be awkward I just can't wait to finish the bike and get it riding. The front derailleur needs some lovin' (or needs to be replaced with something a little older maybe), of course a bar wrap and front brake adjustment (now that the correct wheel is on that bike)
Luna bars are quite good, I really haven't had anything bad from Clif, maybe a flavor I didn't care for but all their stuff is great. I did here that the Spearmint Clif Shot Blocks are horrible but then again I didn't have high hopes for them in the first place and I don't really care for mint.

Super-duper Genius
Today I crashed my bike for the first time in many years.
My wife and I were riding in close formation. We came to an intersection where she thought we were going straight and I thought we were turning right. There were a few brief seconds of confusion, culminating in her cutting me off. It was my own fault for not communicating well and not keeping a safe distance. We collided and I went down. Speed was only 10 or 12 MPH, but I still hit the pavement pretty hard.
My bike is fine. A few little scuffs, nothing serious. I think I'll be fine too. I landed on my hand, hip, and knee. They're all a bit sore, but just bruised, I think. Somehow I also bonked my foot, which I can't explain, because I never unclipped from the pedal (it happened too fast). The foot is very tender now. I'm hoping it's only sprained. If it's not feeling better in few days, I'll have it checked.

It's a pursuit mower. You should install some aerobars on it too.

Today I went to a Shinola boutique and noticed they sold bikes.
Employee didn't know much about the bike and I simply shrugged it off as overpriced Chinese-junk.
Further curiosity and skepticism of Shinola, a high-end brand selling junk, back home proved I was wrong. They're made by Waterford.

Wow. Shinola has a military discount and I can get it for $850
Don't want to attract too much attention. I'm motor doping with it.

Yesterday I put the 42/16 gears back on and serviced the wheel bearings in preparation for the Bike MS NYC ride:
https://ridewithgps.com/routes/28217228
5700' of climbing. I hope I got this.
I warmed up by going 20 miles to a local air show
At the Van Sant Airport
I hit an unexpected dirt/mud road and got a bit muddy. 23c slicks are not the hot ticket for 1/4" of slime, but I made the 2 miles w/o problem.
