As I have now become a Strava stalker I took a look at yesterday's ride which I deemed miserable and taxing on me (extremely windy with little or no tailwind the whole day) to find out that I put myself on the leaderboard in 7 different segments.

Off yesterday due to extreme exhaustion - despite sleeping 9.5 hrs and eating well. got another 10 hrs of sleep last night. Crit racing tonight. I'm aiming to finish the race with the group.
My legs are tired. I wanted another big week before a "rest" week. I might take Mon-Fri this week as a micro-rest, only riding 3 days and keeping under 4 hrs. Got a couple of big races weekend after next which I'm going to do and see how it plays out. Honestly don't think I'm ready for a 62 mi road race, but who knows...
I haven't ridden with a computer in over a year. No idea what power I'm doing these days, but it's got to be low.
Weight this morning was 172.5 lbs. Solid progress towards an arbitrary goal of ~168 lbs.

I've now ridden more hours this week than I have in the previous 3 weeks combined.

Just find their time and always finish one second faster, no matter what. It would be sweet. Probably already exists in fact.

Someone should write an app to always beat the leader on any Strava segment.. it would be easy, since the files are just plain xml and you can create them via software.

I swear I think some people train just to win beat Strava segments.
Today, 1.5 hours with two teammates. A few fun efforts but mainly sedate.

Making a kilometer blurry
Yeah, I like Strava too. Not just for self comparison though. I like taking some KOMs and just trying to stay in the top on some others.

Wow. Master Bates is unhappy with the nanny. I guess he choked the chicken or stroked the one eyed worm once too often.

A bunch of the guys on my team do Strava so I started. My IQ dropped many points. I just do my rides and don't care. The whole thing is virtual MUP racing.

Does anybody else use a gamin forerunner model. It bothers me to no end that I can't see my wattage output with this model

Its funny how there's pros using it, but all the rides they ever record are easy, they never let anything the competition might benefit from get out!

i use it. it's fun. at my level, i'm not too worried about opponents looking at it. besides, it's the same guys at every collegiate race, so there's not much to see on strava that they shouldn't already have figured out by racing with me.

1:30 group ride
Felt good tonight. Took some strong pulls including an all-the-marbles effort at the end. Almost missed the end of the paceline as they pulled through, sat in for half a minute or so then wound it up for the townline sprint. Just nipped someone to take it (admittedly he was easing up because he thought he had it in the bag). Really pleased with this ride.
