OK, less than 2 weeks to go. Some plans are coming together.
Friday dinner appears to be set. The dinner is at the original spot, the Mineral Point Volunteer Fire Department on Doty Street. All you need to do is show up, get your packet in Dodgeville and come to the meal. Figure 5:30ish until we're fed and done shooting the bull.....This meal is on me, but it's BYOB for liability reasons. Those staying in Mineral Point or Dodgeville can easily ride to the meal, but need to be careful going home. There is a path from Dodgeville to Mineral Point, but you'll need a decent headlight and will also need to be sober....
Saturday post-ride, cookout at my sister's house, I'll send the address via PM, as I'm not broadcasting it. It's after we finish, and here's the deal: I will supply brats, burgers and hot dogs. If you want steak, chicken breasts, or anything else, you'll need to either make arrangements with me by next Friday, or bring them yourself. The grille(s) will be set up, utensils, plates, etc. We're going to cook out, sit around, lie about the ride and have fun.
Perhaps we'll find time to ride in there somewhere.

Real name with BF names
I am laughing right now. This group has really grown. I am sad to say that I get confused on names with Bike Forum names. I think we need a solid cheat sheet for all of us. I will start.
Kris Hodgkins = Hodgykins
Any thought on letting others cook our meal after the ride, so Robby does not need to work for this. We did the Pub after ride last year, it was really nice.
Thoughts to both?

Has anyone got a 48-50 cm bike that can be borrowed for this ride? Seems we have a past participant who can fly to the Dare but can't bring her bike.... As she also owns a Colnago and a Merckx, no worries about her riding skills or care for the bike....
I have nothing small enough, or I'd bring one from Indiana/Kentucky.
Peter, would Jill have something in that range? Age is not an issue....

Please PM me the year, make, model of any bike you are showing or riding. I'll make sure the racks are there, and I can make the cards. I also have the clips that hold the cards.
If you plan to put your bike in the Dare display racks, remember to bring something to stick alongside the rear tire in the slot.....
Update: 5x8 cards, so figure what you want to put on the card.
i.e.: Year, make model
maybe components, restoration items, provenance.
At the bottom, will be: Joe Blow-Topeak, Kansas.

My daughter rides a Fuji Touring 43CM. She is 5'2"

My cousin is 5'2 or 5'1, and has a Madone. That would be slumming, but if it's all we can find....

Saddle has since been replaced with a white Fizik Arione.

Steel or Cotton Candy
I might say the exact same thing about a Madone!
