And I have some. Still never heard of it. Only very recently have I begun using water tight rim tape. Been a Velox guy for a long time.

Well there you have it. I have an MA40. A tough rim to mount modern tires to. I'll put it on my gravel bike and see what I can do about taking on some water

I very rarely stumble into the 41. And no. I've never heard of water intrusion in rims.

So the wife and I were given a sneak peak of the post apocalypse. We drove to Cancun yesterday, on the free road(two lane), rather than the expensive toll road. It's generally a painful drive, filled with tour buses, regular buses, lots of trucks and regular traffic. Yesterday those roads were empty. Empty I tell ya! I could set the cruise control and go for miles and miles without interruption. And the towns we went through were ghost towns. There was some activity in and around Cancun, but between here and there it was post apocalyptic. Same on my return this morning.

Tomorrow's a WFH day. No Zoom before 10. Think I'll ride first thing.

Stephen was chasing a spotted lantern fly around the deck. I finally stomped it after he tried several times to eat it.

Mrs. LAJ likely isn't doing her Halloween stuff this year. I'm sure it'll be cancelled, and it's not like people drive around looking at Halloween decorations yet. Christmas, I think I found a few more new dogs, and I expect that'll be be full steam ahead. Decorations make people happy, and dogs make even more people happy, so why not.
Kitsch notwithstanding.

Today whilst mowing I though I would need medical help.
I was going sideways on a bank and my feet slipped. I continued to hold the push mower handle and it hit the ground too.
When I got up I couldn't straighten my ring finger. wut
I guess the knuckle was dislocated? I never had that happen before. Has anyone else?
It wasn't painful. After two or three minutes of trying to figure out what was going on I pulled it in a certain way and it went back to "normal" (again, with little pain, which was actually kind of worrying).
I don't know if it's just a freak thing or, more concerningly, a sign that RA may be messing up my finger joints.
