Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Was going to do the early packet pick up and route preview this morning for next week's duathlon and I woke up to an email alerting me that my packet was shipped out. I forgot I paid extra to have it mailed. Now I wish I hadn't! I'll still go do the route...

Back still hurting this morning, so I missed the morning weather window. This sucks. I guess I'll go mow the lawn instead. Then I need to go find rock shop for to procure a 15th anniversary present for my wife (traditional is crystal... so I'll see if I can't find some cool crystal to put on a necklace).

If this is how you are going to roll, I suggest you get out before it becomes too pricey. You surely don't want to last to 75 if you know what I mean. But I guess you have some time to plan your escape.

Mrs. Seeds and I went out for a bike path ride, this morning, on the hotel's bikes. It's clear that my head is not yet ready for the exertion required for cycling. It's good to find that out now.

Probably best to get back into it on familiar routes with a partner when you're ready.

Fun but hot/humid club ride today. We had about 18 riders which is on the higher end of my comfort level but luckily only a few dooshy moves and no one got hurt.

One rider cut me off without looking but he's an old guy so I let it go. And no, I am not talking about pcad.

Club ride sounds fun.

None for me today. At son's pitching workout.

Priorities.

Family should trump cycling. Maybe.

I need to stay out of the 41. It's the Wild West there.

I really like the way the T6 T-shirt fits, so I've been looking through their designs. I really want the Jesus riding a bike design, but my wife isn't too hot on it -

T6 does offer Mystery T sale option for $10, wherein they send you a t-shirt of their choice... if I should just happen to get the Eggplant Jesus T from a Mystery T purchase, that wouldn't be my fault, would it?
