Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Speaking of beer, I should go to the brewery and get another growler, but I left the empty at home so I wouldn't get my $4 deposit back.

Reading that made my head hurt.

Kit Murray joined Red Wing Republican Eagle in August 2016, covering county government, news and local events. She is a graduate of Minnesota State University Moorhead with a degree in photojournalism.

You know, that one you took when they weren't expecting it and they didn't have their "fake smile" on... the one you can't get them to redo with any amount of time in the world.

I've assisted at plenty of these. It's like herding cats sometimes. Mostly family sessions with little kids. Then you've got the props and snakes/bugs in the bushes, etc... expecting to have the camera settings perfect for 100% of the 200 snaps is unreasonable in those conditions.

Thinking about switching teams makes sense right now because we're not sitting on a mountain of lenses, and what we've got we can sell easily (or convert super cheap like the sigma art). I don't want to get stuck in a canon ecosystem where if you need pro features it's 2x the cost of everywhere else. They obviously aren't trying very hard to improve things. It's hard to get behind that.
What's wrong with Canon bodies and Canon compatible third party lens brands like Sigma and Tamron?

Just had the most amazing, wonderful wine tasting in the history of the universe. Don't expect details. You just had to be there.

Incorrect.

Not good enough for capturing the non-fake smiles.

You had to read the posts more carefully to get that.

True. Keep 'em apart.

It's definitely going back into the commuting/century messenger bag tonight.

If I remember.

Reading it and believing it are two very different things.

That's not what you asserted.

And from my obviously very limited experience in these things, impromptu shots are somewhat more difficult to take to get everything to work right in a professional environment.

Inaugural ride was full of adjustments. Will likely be more to come and probably need a different saddle. Maybe longer aero bars, which I have, but what a hassle to change.
