yes really .. i'm going to be riding with her on campus and I'm not going to be wearing cleats to class.
it does look silly with clips though.. however, i will be looking into getting a clipless setup for longer rides.

Get yourself a pair of road spd pedals and some mission workshop shoes.

+1 on SPD cleats and any kind of Mtb shoe. They even make sandals that you can attach the clips to.

I may have already posted this in another thread but ah what the hell!
My 2nd/back up bike: 2011 Giant Defy 3
Oops! How did that get in there? LOL! Seriously, this is what I ride when I'm not on the road bike. To be honest, I ride the road bicycle way, way more than the motorcycle.

Of course there is. Clipless pedals as well as toe clip pedals function to keep your foot attached to the pedal. This only applies if you use the toe clips as intended however, you must fasten them to your foot.

I like your Speed Triple. I'm guessing it's the ST and not the Street Triple 675. I almost got one not long ago but I realized I wanted the fairing for high speed cruising. That's a very good shot. Looks like AZ in the background. I just rode across AZ via Rte 66 to Winslow, then down south via Hwy 89 through Prescott. Gosh! That's simply beautiful country!
Mine is the Honda VFR800 and that shot of the bike was taken while climbing Palomar mountain in south eastern San Diego County. I plan to climb Palomar Mtn. on my road bicycle in Sep or Oct when the weather cools down. My friend and I are prepping ourselves by doing a lot of climbing in the next couple of months!

This is more of a requiem than anything else because I’m selling the bike. I wish I had a better photo. I’m having to travel constantly these days because of the economy, and at over 50 I sometimes think that I am just a pretender still trying to enjoy riding a race geometry roadie. I really liked this one because it still maintained the flat top tube and a nice compliant feel yet stiff and light enough to chase down some of the faster, younger riders. I would have liked to have had put some shallow drop bars on it and a few other things however. Although I need to sell it, I’m kinda hoping it wont.
Boom.
