Yesterday I took a nice trail from Cohoes NY to Niskayuna NY which follows the Mohawk river. It's all bike trail except for a small portion that gets you to the other side of I-87 (Highway which runs from Albany to Montreal and beyond). The weather was beautiful, the scum bums and riff raff were sparce (once you leave Cohoes) and the walkers were courteous. Averaged 31kph and hit top speeds of around 47. I made great time and got a great workout. Total distance from home and back is 31.2 miles.
The map shows the begining of the trail.

Seenoweevil (Bianchi) and El Segundo (Trek) rode on the Natchez Trace from the Tennessee River to Mississippi state line, 38 miles round trip. Perfect weather, spring sprung early.

Sunny & 75 degrees today in RI. I had the day off so I had to take advantage of the weather. I rode a metric century (62 miles) on some roads I had never been on before, mostly in Coventry and West Greenwich RI.

I tried out a brand new trail that starts just a few blocks from my door step. It was awesome! I can't wait to take my daughter on a bike ride down this trail. There was even a playground and picnic area that I can take her to.

I rode 46 miles today on a gray, overcast Sunday. High of 50. My new hot spot is West Greenwich RI. I didn't take many pictures, just concentrated on riding.
A little more pedestrian than northbend's pics. They are spectacular!

Three friends and I rode 40 miles round trip between Goshen Indiana and Shipshawana Indiana on the Pumpkin Vine Rail to Trail. Most of it is paved trail but some is on country roads. This isn't too bad because there are lots of Amish in this area and they ride bikes on the roads all the time. Some one along the trail keeps several camels.

Easy spin down towards the Delta. Just a handful of cars in 2 1/2 hours of riding. Some grapevines south of Clarksburg.

Finally got the Serotta out for the first time this season. She's the "fan-friggin-tastic weather" rider, and that's exactly what we had over this past weekend. Sunday morning I did a repeat of my Friday ride, an out-and-back route to Lake Lavon. 20mi round trip from the house, about 15 of that on rural 1-lane roads. Rode the Gazelle AB-Frame Friday, Serotta Sunday, Saturday's ride was on the carbon Fuji, mostly because I wanted to compare the saddle on that bike to the one I'd put on the Gazelle recently.

Today, I took the 1950 Norman Rapide out for a 15 mile ride. This bike is really starting to grow on me. Anyway, I did a loop that took me from Brunswick to Burkittsville, a route I hadn't ridden before. It went pretty well, though the wind was a little bothersome. I'm trying to ride routes that have more hills so I don't get dropped like a lead balloon should I decide to do another group ride.

Did 44 miles on the tandem today. It would have been more but we had a technical problem - the stoker's BB started coming open. Danged French threads. I discovered the problem when we stopped for lunch by the Concord River. Made a quick call to Ride Studio Cafe back in Lexington and they said sure, come by and you can use our tools to fix it. Very generous of them! (If you've never been by there, do go by at least once. And be prepared for extreme friendliness!)
The weather was cool, sunny when we started but overcast by the time we were finished. As we were driving home it started raining, exactly as predicted. Don't think we could have crammed any more into the day.
Passing through Lexington the first time while the Lexington Militia was mustering on the green, presumably in preparation for Patriots Day:
Stopping for lunch beneath the Rt225 bridge over the Concord River:
Finally, a bit of rest at Fern's in Carlisle:

Very inviting pics! I wanna' go ride that dirt road. Not that my road tires would like the idea as much as I would.
