Raised bars a couple of spacers (similar to TT position at catskills without clip ons) 2 days ago, it feels more natural and I want to say it's slightly faster? but that could just be because any time you make a change you want to think it's for the better. Elbows have a bit more bend to them and it feels like I'm supporting the position with my upper back instead of my triceps which probably means I'm in the sweet spot as far as cockpit position goes.
Today is openers. Legs feel a bit tired but I think that's related to a lot of travel this week and subpar sleep immediately after last weekend's stage race. We see how tomorrow goes.

3 hours, 1 at tempo++ since I've essentially put my legs in GenPop and had all the inmates have their way, things should improve next week.
Skipped the hammerfest because quite frankly, having to wake up at 5am M-F I just wanted a day to sleep in....(still woke up at 7).
Down 10?? pounds since I started commuting by bike. Not sure if I can count my heaviest moment 3 weeks ago and my lightest this week, but its 10....a solid 6 regardless.

Legs are coming around, PR'ed up Oak Glen; 40 watts less than my best effort but did a good job of taking pulls and sitting in.

Took me a few days to figure it out, but I think I've been a bit sick the last week or so. Explains a lot. Felt better today.
Heh. Funny story. I slammed my bars about 3 months ago. Only 5mm or so, and I swapped out to compact bars with shallower drop. I had been really hating the sensation of going from drops to hoods in a race, it felt like I was throwing out a parachute. Now I'm lower on the hoods, able to get just as low on the drops if need be, and happier overall.

30 miles of easy spinning for recovery. I must be getting faster, or my technique is improving, or something, because my pace was decent.

If I recall a pattern that you've followed a few times in the past, you'll likely win, or at least top 5 in, the race.
