totally different. Those places have long established names whereas i need an internet handle that says something about how i want to race my bike. Besides, escapist conjures up images of escaping convicts or escaping of reality.

Speaking of EDR, he dumped Campy because they went to 11 speed. I wonder what he thinks about Shimano now that it's going 11. (Or maybe he went to Sram ?)

there are quite a few examples, no?

folks devour corn syrup laden pseudo food. McDonalds is the largest hamburger chain in the world, and second in restaurants only to Subway.

In the modern world 'popularity' as a metric is a sign that the marketing is working.

Well here goes ...
Right from the start the attacks came full throttle. They were relentless. I went with a couple of breaks. The second one got away but too many guys dying off and we got caught with a couple of laps to go. Then, like frigging clockwork, another attack while I was trying to catch my breath ... and ... it was the winning break. Sumbiscuit! I was kicking myself.

But I stayed with the group - barely. We dropped half the field by lap 2 or 3. On one of the attacks I pulled a hammy and it still hurts a bit. If you're not on a team you're pretty much dead in the water - especially if you're solo and trying to stick with whatever you can. It just felt like a whirlwind of guys going and going and going. Sheesh.

Welp ... of to paint some walls for my daughter.

strange training race today. the women's AA-Leontine team showed up in full force (including emma pooley and lizzie armitstead).

they hammered, then blew up. accordian effect the whole day. sketchy as hell.

i'd have expected better from Lizzie Armistead as she came from a track background. Pooley is just another strong triathlete who rose to the top due to the scarcity of cycling talents.

expected better?

not even nikki terpstra or sebastian langeveld can just ride off the front by themselves, of this particular training series, and wave good bye for the entire race.

Is Leontine still racing, or is it a team she is helping?

i was referring to the sketchy riding part, which i thought was directed at Pooley and Armistead.

maybe people gave them more leash knowing they can be reeled in later
