I'm out for a bit. Managed to bone-headedly slice a big chunk off the top of my left thumb, down to just grazing the top of some tendon. Six stitches Friday night, have to check with a hand orthopod this week to ensure no tendon issues. Not doing any off-road until things close up and stitches are out at a minimum.
Oops. Bled like a mofo, and I didn't even managed to get a decent pic before stitches. Nice nickle sized flap right above my distal knuckle!

it'll be short time. have full movement/sensation, so the orthopod should be merely a formalityn to be sure all is okay and make my insurance happy. just not going to ride until it's closed/stitches are out as i don't want the thing to pop open again - it's right over the knuckle. bad enough getting the grease and aluminum shavings out, (was trimming a steer tube) i don't want trail and nasty glove gunk in the thing

Forgot to mention that I have successfully rebuilt the manitou and put it back on since I was kind of hating weight penalty of the Tora.

It does feel like my dmr lost 2 pounds by putting the refurbished manitou back on it.

With luck, next weekend, we are going to try some dirt jumping (but its looking like rain).

Nothing crazy, but I played around on a bigish table thingy, and I see why people use small frames with limited travel. I'm now thinking strongly about that Shadow frame.

I'm thinking strongly that I wish my damn BB was here. I mocked it all up this weekend complete with packing paper bottom bracket. Its going to be sweet.
Here is a little ****ty cell phone teaser.

Just got my driver's license. Its almost sad how easy the test is. I drove around a neighborhood and did the maneuverability. I almost stalled because a school bus cut in front of me as I was making a right turn. Now I dont have to mooch rides off of friends to get to trails.
