Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Boomers. Pfft.

Road a rode bike today for the first time in a long time. 32 miles - half paved/half canal gravel.

25mm deep aluminum rims and a freshly oiled chain. No one could hear me at all.

23mm tyres are ideal for canal gravel around here, it's so smooth, straight, and flat.

Phoenix is pretty much like Venice, canals everywhere.

Lunch at Laguna Rajacolta, 4,270m

On top of our highest pass, 5,000 and a bit meters.

On the final pass.

Some photos without any cycling content from my recent holiday. It only took three days to sort through the approx 1,600 photos I took.

Way too early to be at work. I'm not supposed to be here for another hour. Not being able to sleep sucks. Sucks even more when the cpap machine keeps me awake. On the plus side, I stopped at Donut Connection and got me a cookie on the way to work. Screw this diet!!!

Oh, for my first month back on the bike I got 515 miles. I don't think that's a bad start.

Not sure if this is a joke? A dremel strikes me as way overkill. the logo that was on the other side of the bike is now completely gone as I removed it with a scotchbrite pad.
