Wanted, Sachs Maillard 600 front axle cone. The one I have has an incorporated "cup washer" for grease retention (Rather than the typical separate "press-fit" cup Ive seen on other 80's vintage rides). I have a lot of older bike parts but not sure whats of value, nor do I know what an old axle cone is worth !? I guess a LOT if you NEED one, but not a "bling" type part in the greater scheme of things!

Anyone in Ann Arbor/Detroit area want a mixte frame + in exchange for a little wrenching?

Mixte offered: Fuji Gran Tourer, champagne frame in good condition, with very good decals. Diacompe brakes, Nishi Olympiad handlebars, stem shifters. Wheels are steel and rusted as are derailleurs. One local LBS said the mixte was in rough shape, but with enough time could be fully restored. I have the nice black Fuji quilted pattern seat w. all original seat clamp pieces in very good condition, and steel Araya wheels in excellent ready to mount condition w. usable tubes and tires, w. absolutely clean and shining chrome rims. I would happily include these in the trade to further the restoration of this mixte. It's too much for me to take on, and I would like to see it live again. It's a 19 inch frame.

Work wanted: upgrades (not repairs) for a ready to ride General Journey late 1980s mixte - super clean and greased, etc. which I bought this past fall from a bike mechanic in Bowling Green, OH. Need aforementioned steel/chrome wheels swapped out w. restored Araya alloy wheels and rims (already professionally cleaned and trued w. cassette). Install vintage 1980s Centurion aluminum drop bars w. extra long Nitto-like stem, both cleaned and greased and properly sized. Install brand new short throw Tektro brakes, and brand new Jagwire XL Racer cables and housing.

I am very happy to compensate any differences in value If you are looking for a relatively quick and easy winter project, pls. reply here or message me for details.

Pedals for your Puch project? Will these help? Nothing to brag about but period correct W. Germany Union pedals and Verma toe clips + straps.

Need: a matched set of quality 36h clincher rims (late 70's~80's)

Have: piles of vintage MTB stuff, and roadie parts...if you have the rims I need, I'm sure I can dig up something you'll like.

Pics for cyclotoine...

thought I had more XTR stuff that wasn't on bikes:
(the FD on the right is a special modded version made to fit the huge DT on a Manitou)

I have a thing for stems...
(the middle one is a Nobilette. Haven't id'd the white one yet, but it is very well made)

cool post if you like to be vintage comfy

Ringle cages with the elusive stops

Let me know if anything interests you.

BTW what size frame do you ride?

EastcoastSteve, I have a matched set of 1981 Ukai 700x25c gold annodized rims with Sunshine Gyromaster hubs. Would those fit the bill? Anno is worn on braking surface and they have nicks and scratches, but look good and spin nicely.

cache,

Thanks for the offer...those are good looking wheels. Think the gold would be a bit too much on my build though (need a dark ano or silver really), and I
really just need rims, as I want to use the 600 Arabesque hubs that match my group.

Sweet C'dale too. Black Lightning?

No worries, I'm sure I'll find a use for them. And yes, 1990 Black Lightning, click my upgraded drivetrain photo for my bikeforums thread with details... Serious grin-inducing ride with the 9 speed upgrades.

ISO: Shimano Dura Ace Wheels

I am looking for a set of Dura Ace clincher wheels with 130mm rear wheel spacing. Looking for a hub that will accept an 8-10 cog cassette. I am building up a bike with 8 speed components so if it has an 8 speed cassette that would be ideal.

Send me a PM with what you have. One option would be a trade for a set of Campy Proton wheels that I have.

ISO/WTT: Campy Nuovo Record or Record Front Derailleur

I am looking for a Campy Nuovo Record or Record braze on front derailleur. It will be for a build with Nuovo Record components so I would prefer NR but Record would also work for me. It will be used with a double chainring crankset.

Send me a PM with what you have. One option would be a trade for a Nuovo Record clamp on front derailleur that I have.
