Today I watched
, which was OK, despite the protagonist being a former baseball player.
However, it had this ridiculous scene. There was an Italian professor who the US wanted to be captured as they were liberating Rome, rather than the Germans killing him or taking along. US guys get to him right before a German squad does, killing a few Germans in the process. Then, immediately after that, the professor starts cleaning his bicycle, because he says he wants his life to be as normal as possible. #CyclingContent

3 Body Problem looked too intense for my mood, so going with The Tourist. Hopefully it stays pretty chill.

Not really sloppy on Tennessee's part, they just couldn't hit shots. 1-19 (3 pointers) at one point, and most of them were decent shots.
The only good thing I can say about it is there aren't any style points here. Survive and advance.

Heading to the new format Sunday ride. Our club is merging Sunday with a local shop ride and it will be the first time I have joined. Should be some friends there, if they show up. It's about 45 degrees and breezy with rain predicted after 11:00. Not supposed to be a sprint/hammerfest.

Before the tournament I predicted they would lose in the round of sixteen. Because we have a coach who plays what I affectionately call BarnesBall--the annual choking in the post-season.

When our son was a freshman at A&M, he called to tell us that the pep band needed more sax players to play at the Sweet 16 game and then the Elite 8 game if they won. He did not know what to do since he had a test while they would be away. Being the consummate rule abided, he was afraid to say anything, and wasn’t sure if he could or should go.
We told him to tell his teacher that his school needed him on the road and he needed to reschedule the test, and then go as he would not likely get that chance again. Teacher gave him a pass so he went. Flew private with the team and coaches, got game clothes and swag, and sat on the front row under the basket.

It was an unplanned walk, so I had some of the worst shoes for walking - super thin soled Vans, hope the arches of my feet don't cramp up in the middle of the night!
When I was preparing to ride I didn't realize I had put a tube in the back tire of the Ellsworth months ago, so I pumped it up to 24 psi, typically perfect for me on 2.3" tubeless. Anyways I was having a blast out there on Trail 100 and pinch flatted, started trying to pump it up but I could hear the hiss of air escaping before I could get more than 10 PSI in there. A trail angel appeared and hooked me up with a 29er tube and I stuffed that in there, put in 30 PSI, surely that's enough for tubes? Nope, I felt my rim hitting rocks a couple times and sure enough pinch flatted again. Thought I'd ride it flat down off the trail and Uber or something but I didn't wanna wreck my rims so only did that for a 1/4 mile, then hiked the bike over to a wash and stashed it and started hiking to REI. I was dreading it at first but the weather was so nice and I still had a litre of water left I was actually having a good time. Then I passed a free grapefruit house, grabbed a couple and ate as I walked. They were primo, best grapefruit ever, at that point I totally put Ubering out of my mind.
Wasted my 20% off coupon on a tube, bought another full price too, JIC. Good thing too, as after I got back to the bike and peeled the tire off I notice my tubeless tape got absolutely destroyed by riding rocks on a flat tire. But I put 35 psi in this time and the tube held for the 7 miles trail ride back to the van, even made it back before dark.

Delivering the Paramount to Baca in an hour or so. Bob arrives Friday. It will be good to see him and ride with him.
