Why do we wear high ankle socks?

Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Because there is a chance people won't laugh at our spandex shorts and loud jerseys, and we want to spread humor?

By today's standards, Thomas Jefferson would likely be called a pedophile/sex offender.

You decide who that sounds like.

Tall cycling socks are made the way they are made for good reasons. I particularly like Specialized tall road socks in bright colors with reflective bands which help with visibility for motorists. I haven’t come across other compression socks that fit or work as well for me. No need for a herd mentality though. Definitely wear what works for you.

Happy cycling!

sheesh, my low volume cell phone listen was waaaaaaay off.
I did all my track crashing on a two stroke liquid cooled 350 twin Yammy back in the day, monoshock rear suspension and pretty snazzy bike back then. Fun as hell to race in 550 and 750 production classes.
