I like that majority of the people in the FGSS forum are also riding either vintage bikes or newer steel bikes, thats rad!
Here's my road bike, '89 (???) Giordana Anateres:
And my pride and joy, 2010 Specialized Stumpjumper, almost everything is after market:

and that isnt even my "big" bike! lol. and its funny, someone made the 650 wheel remark yesterday .
its a joke bike and i usually run a rear disc wheel, but didnt feel like swapping tires.
also, the keys were taken on the ride by accident. i usually dont bring keys and id rather have them on the bike than in my jersey pocket in case of a crash

New commuter build with many Fredly touches, like fenders, dynamo hub & lighting:
Bike was liberally splashed by VO components. 2x10 drivetrain with VO 48/34 crank, SRAM 11-32 cass, 9sp Dura Ace rear der, Ultegra front, DA 10sp bar end shifters. That's a VO No. 6 saddle, blatant Brooks ripoff, but the price is right. Nitto Dynamic seatpost, Nitto Noodle 177 bars. Hand-built (by me) wheels: rear is 105 laced 3x to 36h Velocity Synergy rim, front is the same build, but a Shimano dynamo hub. Tires are 26" x 1.5 Panaracer RiBMo.
Frame is based on Geekhouse Woodville, first 26" wheel build they've done. Built by me... and Marty Walsh. Result of taking the Geekhouse frame building course. So stuff I did included cutting and mitering tubes, many of the welds and a couple braze-ons. Most of the markup, machining setup, tack welds, fork, many braze-ons and especially welds on the seatstays were Marty.
Love it. Just got it built up at the beginning of last week, already have a couple hundred miles on it, and am 100% thrilled with my (semi)self-built custom.
Horizontal Richard Sachs dropouts at the rear for when it gets old and I want to go SS/FG with it...

Ths Hipstr Kills Masheenz
about 350 all said and done as it sits but that's because the shifters and cranks were given to me and the rest(every single part) was bought used or takeoff.

Here's my '87 SR600. I'll be giving it away to my younger brother later this week. I'll be sad to see it go but he needs a bike.
Here's my BMC SLX01. I have some soul S4.0 wheels that should be arriving this week that I'm looking forward to installing.
