Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I blew it. I had two choices for try 3 and picked the more obscure. Silly me.

I am a direct descendent on my mother's side to the Irish clan O'DOCHARTAIGH.

And, I own no green clothing except a cycling Jersey.

As I sit here I am still tormented by upgradeitis. I can get shifters for $450.00 and cassettes aren't horribly expensive. I could make the 2009 Tarmac 11 speed. Manual. But still it would be 11 speed.... Why am I not satisfied with 10 speed?
Is being able to say" this one goes to 11" that important? It must be....

Not Irish. My wife is partly Irish, but the wrong color (orange, not green).

Six speed for the win. It's the true sweet spot.

Depends if the available cassettes for 11-speed are an improvement for your usage. They're not always...

I'm not sure what one more speed would do for me. When it's time, a front and rear derailleur would all I'd need for the Focus, and then I'd just make the TT bike electrical.

Could be. I have no basis of comparison. I will have to suffer with my perception of awesome. Or for a monetary consideration I could be persuaded to alter my description to absolutely fantastic, but the sum would be sizable
