Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? question was already asked an answered.

A LBS of mine has a T1 built for 1.9k

went down there today, and they arbitrarily said they aren't participating in the Cervelo deal... even though they get reimbursed the 2k, and all they have to do is sign a few papers..... guess it wasn't having a customer.

Tonight I made a joke with a friend about opening a restaurant/bar/music venue across the street from a place in town that treats everyone like ****. Two hours later, I have a couple people interested in investing, a few cooks ready to quit their jobs and come work for me, two bands that wanna play opening night, a social media specialist onboard to consult, an artist working on designs for logo and menu layouts...

This is nuts.

yeah my iphone app is a bit innaccurate and you have to pause it if you ever stop for a minute or it'll really **** up your time (where the garmin 500 starts/stops recording based on movement, right?)

I just couldn't justify $150 for slightly better accuracy / a minor inconvenience. I really want one though!

At first I thought you said you were joking about opening a restaurant that would treat people like ****. Was very confusing.

So I assume you're going to do it?

Today I did a nice and easy 25 mile ride, hung out with some buddies, had hot pot and ran some school-related errands.

Sorry. There's a joint in town that treats their bands and customers like ****. There's also an empty bar/venue sitting about a block away. We want to provide some competition.

Yeah, I'm gonna try. A brewer I know wants to make beers with/for us too. This is taking off more quickly than I could've hoped.

having a work stand after working on a bike 'rack' seemed like it might be similar but man it's world's apart and I love it. never worked at a shop or anything so having this stand finally is so damn great. don't know why I waited so long

also to the dude talking about restaurants. no business fails more than them, no business suffers more than them in their first few years. I know it's really exciting, but please have someone really really do the math and a really outline a business plan before jumping face first into it

Ham, I've been a cook/chef in restaurants for most of my adult life. I'm in the process of opening one now actually. I know how it goes. I also know that most restaurant failures are due to a bunch of things that I'm going to be avoiding.
