It's streaming on Cycling.TV - nice to watch before TTT practice this morning!

Just read the finale on cyclingnews.com

It's rare that reading a typed race report gets the blood flowing like that. Awesome stuff

Loved the way the selection exploded in the last 30k and Poz's charge at the end was magnificant. You could see that the wind had pain in it.

Pozzato played Boonen...Boonen considers himself the second Museeuw. I wonder if Museeuw would have let himself be played like that. I knew Pozzato was strong, but today he showed he is smart.

edited to add: Today Pozzato proved the axiom, "You have to be willing to lose if you want to win."

Results to #86 up at Cyclingnews.com. Elkhaus doesn't have a single rider in the top 86. Hmmm. Mattan the only rider from the Litespeed team to make it into the top 86. Best I can see the race was run at ~40km/hr pace.

De Jongh was obviously Boonen's man in the break and should have been the one to match the acceleration by Nuyens, but he couldn't, leaving Boonen to cover Nuyens move himself, which left him vulnerable to Pozzato's attack. Boonen is claiming he has been sick all week. OK.

All winter is the word. Something like "5 colds" maybe going from crushing souls in Qatar to freezing his arse off in the Benelux threw him off

Sounds like Ogrady and Flecha threw it away in the last kilometre. 16 seconds at 1km to go and they got caught. WTF is that all about?

Everytime that happens the Euro commentators always start crapping on about Roche and Criquelion in the 87 Liege-Bastongne-Liege.

and I'm pretty sure O'Grady could beat Flecha from the front or the back.

Those clowns had it shot to bits, start doing 10kmh looking at one another, then Argentin creeps up wearing the gayest looking rainbow jersey ever and steals it.

I had a 1987 poster in my room of Argentin riding a TT....I think it was an ad for Bianchi or Brancale or something. Yep....shocking jersey.
