Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I don't think I ever posted this before so here goes. This is my Pake Rum Runner FG/SS Road bike and it is the second most ridden bike in my garage and kind of a SS/FG ambassador. It has a flip-flop rear hub that I normally ride it fixed, but I flip the wheel several times a year and lend it out to friends or friends of friends so that they can try out SS/FG to see if it interests them. Actually thats why there are no pedals on it in this picture, because the guy I was lending it to rode Time pedals and I use Shimano PD-A530s on this bike.

Brand new bike as of last Thursday, 2013 Madone 3.1, taken while riding along the James river just now. Loving the new ride, and especially loving that it was a surprise gift from my fiancee!

Got a new shot of mine out on the road up to Mt Baldy today, so I gotta share. 14.6 lbs without a drink or saddle bag on it.
