After two years of racing in her comeback, my 1975 Paramount is now officially retired. In her place (much to my wife's dismay) I decided that I needed a classic steel bike to replace her. I decided on a new Cinelli Supercorsa Pista. Why the Cinelli? As a teen I really liked the fastback seat stays on the Cinellis and Windsors, so 30+ years later, I decided it was finally time.

Sex on wheels! I am just catching up in this thread on a nasty windy Sunday morning . My framebuilder just ordered tubes for my new bike so I am looking at ideas on build-ups

Okay for real no more changes.
Ah... Maybe new Miche aero crank because my friend is using my old frame so I could just replace my crank with his whenever I want. I didn't pay for the crank, but basically it's mine.
Also, I recently hit 60km/h in
55x12 gear ratio for standing start.(based on street)
I don't know why but ny standing start max speed is faster than my flying 200m
Some parts were gift from my friend like Cinelli ram, 3T Aoura tt bar(not shown in picture), wheel, and other.
Current setting
-Cinelli Ram
-Alpina 33cm
-Ergostem oversized
-Dixie Flyer BTB 56cm
-Sugino75 DD
-Carleton's SRM PC7
- and other

Finally tested this years configuration in competition. I'll probably shorten the chain a link and I might go to a 130 stem, but it seems pretty good for now.
Cane Creek 88mm front. Didn't want to got to a 5 spoke since I don't need the stiffness and 5 spokes test slow on a fork. Vittoria Pista Evo CL 19mm.
Old Mavic Comete. Vittoria Corsa Speed 23mm
Fizik Aliante.
Scatto Endurance bars
Dura Ace Cranks. Ultegra Pedals.
50x16. I'm toying with the idea of gearing up or down to a 51 or a 49 for certain events, but it's hard to imagine needing a 51 unless I'm in a keirin.

Some sick Planet X life going on in here. With the Scattos too, nice stuff.
I did end up getting a new frame that is a size up and better angles than the Pure. Hopefully everything is ready for next week - i'll post a finished picture then.

Ok so I've been digging about in here looking for something similar to what I'm thinking of doing so thought I would throw this out there and see if anyone has anything...
I am in the process of getting everything together for a big black stealthy build...but had thought about a set of chromed up Nitto's for the front (smaller width, plus a bit of blingy contrast)...but can't see any examples of someone having done similar out there...

Like this?
My old LOOK 496 (badgeless), Mavic Io & Comete (badgeless), Nitto B125 34 or 36cm (chrome):
With black carbon Easton EC90 bars (in case you were wondering about an all-black look :

Build is so far...
Black Planet X frame (the one with the back weave poking through)
Custom built Planet X 88 rims on black hubs with black spokes. (With vitt tubs)
Miche pistard air crankset
Plain black arione saddle.
Which leaves chain/stem/bars badically.
Choice of black/gold/silver chain to match up now...

I had silver bars on my bike for about a week (Cinelli Crit65) before I went back to my old bars. Might give them another shot some time, but they're not working for me right now. Excuse the pedals -- I was taking it on a grocery run.

hahaha dude, I'm just trying to keep up with you!
different. I was able to get the same saddle to bar distance that I had on the Snyder, but it has brought the bars under me a bit more vs. up and out. This one actually has a 59.5cm top tube, so it's not far off. I raced it yesterday and really enjoyed it, but I think I'm going to throw on a 140mm stem on it to see how it feels. (130mm on it now)

OK, this is a bit more than just my track bike, but since it's track related I thought I'd post it here.

There are some sick bikes on here! Just, wow. My bike looks like an appliance by comparison (but it rides really well)!

Will you offer some honest feedback on the frame? I've been very curious about Dixie Flyer. They seem to be moving in a good direction with their engineering choices (standard seat tube, long top tubes, not too expensive, etc...)
