Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I was thinking this era. Can't tell what the bike is, might be a Lemond. I know Banesto rode steel Pinarellos.

One can make that case since they live there, though that’s presumably their parents’ doing.

I'm thinking the GAN on that Pinny is not related to the insurance company that sponsored Lemond.

Runs and bikes on Zwift. Swims are in a pool.

Looks like the first stage is 250m swim, 4km bike, 1km run

Super kudos. I got a 3, but 2 is quite rare, tracker says 3 times for me since I started. Never had a 1.

Some new shoes I ordered are scheduled to be delivered by end of day today, but their last scan was at 5AM in Marshall, TX.

Not too confident they’re going to make it, which is a bummer because I wanted to try them out on the shop ride tomorrow morning
