Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Yes, it's a Project One, 5.2SL. For some reason, my signature doesn't show it, but I have entered it there and saved more than once.

Just because I changed a few things and feel like pimping my bike again. It's got a computer, a rear light, and new pedals this time. And... I think 45 miles on it as of this picture. It's gotten a few more since then.

Fondriest Megalu frame with Mizuno carbon fork
Some undisclosed Campag front roundy cog thing (from the mid 90's I'm told(What's the correct term for one of these??))
Shimano SORA for the rest
Mavic Aksium wheels
Michelin GP4000 tyres
Some nice red 'Look' pedals that probably weigh more than most people on here's bikes.
Cateye wireless computer which tells me how slow I'm going.

Will post a pick for what it's worth in the near future...

I don't have a picture, but I'll give specs:

Frame: Isaac Pascal
Group: Campagnolo Record
Wheels: Ammerican Classic 420s
Tires: Currently, running Rubino Pro Techs.

Also, have an old Colnago steel frame and a Specialized, both yet to be built up.

I've recently been bitten by the cycling bug and wanted to post a picture of my new ride.

Having a blast climbing the West Hills above Portland.

Weird question: do you have a sister that lives in Ohio? I ask this because I was talking to a girl at a bar one time who said her brother recently bought a Burley, and yours is the first one I've ever seen.

Love the ride of the steel frame. I extensively test rode all the alum/carbon frames and came back to the steel model. It was just a better ride. It's a shame they don't make a steel model any more.

Gosh. Don't think I've ever chimed in here:

2002 Giant TCR2, Ultegra SPD-SL pedals, Specialized BG Toupe Team seat + cushy bar tape
and Mike Burrows seatpost.

Updated photo. May do another in daylight. Current mileage 4921.

2007 Specialized Allez Double.

All I can give you is the picture from the Specialized website:

This is my first roadbike ever. I replaced the cage pedals with big fat Mosh BMX pedals (I don't know...they're just so much more comfortable. And I didn't feel any real advantage from the cages.)

Ultimately, I love riding this bike because it is so smooth and light. Definitely fun to ride. I hope that I didn't make a mistake not going for a higher end bike (mostly in terms of the component group.)
