Steepest street in the world - 36% grade

Here is the steepest that I've done. Strava has troubles giving a gradient, but about 20% for 0.3 miles or 0.4 km, which is longer than many "steep climbs".

I could ride it, but not continuously with the gearing I was attacking it with... I think 39x23. Whew!!! I'm thinking of changes for next year... Maybe 34x23?
I just can't hold continuous peak power.

My driveway peaks at about 17%, and I find it is hard to ride when it is simply wet. But, I should get the fir needles swept off more frequently... the bike just doesn't clear the path too well.

I'll never forget my steepest climb. 25% climb up to Falkenstein, Germany. I cycling friend wanted to show me this castle ruin. At the time, I have my modded Huffy (Which I still have and ride) touring bike. It has a 32 front chainring and rear 34T @ 25 GI (27in wheels). It was a short ride from Sembach AB, so no panniers , just water and me. I had no idea what I was in for, until we got to the village sign (25%). Age wise, I was in my mid 30's, top shape. I pushed so hard on the saddle, I torn my good cycling shorts. My buddy had slightly higher gears and needed a push from a local. It was a nice gentle, down hill ride from the opposite side of the village.
Now I struggle to get up a 10% grade with a 32GI. @ 70.
