I just found another 1997 Zurich, in my size...looks all original and clean...only snag is, it would have to be shipped to me...from a shop in a very bikey city. So they're asking about $800 shipped. Yikes...
Just curious - is it me, or is that a crazy price for a 1997 bike with 853 and 8-speed Ultegra? Blue book value says $500ish for like-new condition...I realize a trendy bike market will raise that a bit and the small size might tweak it up further. But they want $650 for the bike alone, $150-225 for boxing and shipping (yes, they charge a boxing fee in addition to shipping).
The odd part is, They have other clean and more modern bikes - 10 speed, 1 1/8 threadless head sets, etc. - for around the $1000 mark. Seems like a way better deal...is the Zurich just considered a vintage prize?
