First post here. I got my bike out 9/27 after 23 months of not riding. Last month I was just short of 164 miles. This morning completed my 3rd ride this month for a total of 75 miles. Lost 7 pounds the first 4 weeks and at the same time quit smoking. My goal is to get out as much as possible.

A cold snap and a little more rain has really slowed me down over the past few days, and it looks like we have another week of it coming.

Numbers are a little skewed ... I'm doing the FTP Builder on Zwift so it's more of a time thing, but whatever.

Meh! Only 90 miles for the month so far, I suck! ![Big Grin](https://www.bikeforums.net/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
But got in a little night ride around home tonight. Only 12 miles at 17.2 average speed. Nice little midweek night ride.
You know it's starting to get cool when you fill your water bottles at home before you leave. Take your first drink and the water is warm compared to the night air.![Stick Out Tongue](https://www.bikeforums.net/images/smilies/tongue.gif)

The time change has made it very difficult for me to ride during the week. Throw in a snow storm and some rain days and that has me working on the weekend to makeup for missed work days.

Way behind so I've given up on my original goal of 1,000 miles for this month. New goal is to just ride as much as I can without freezing. ![Smilie](https://www.bikeforums.net/images/smilies/smile.gif)

Purchased MY FIRST ROAD BIKE and a Kickr SNAP trainer at the end of Oct. Just got it all connected in the past week and doing a FTP builder so mileage will be down. So far 50.2 miles!!! Restarted cycling in late July early August - down 15 lbs already. End of winter goal is 100 miles a week!!! Hopefully its not too ambitious. But goals should be forced to push you.
Goal - 100 mile - KICKR SNAP - i am hoping to increase this goal depending on how much I can get on the trainer this Holiday Weekend.

Numbers are a little skewed ... I'm doing the FTP Builder on Zwift so it's more of a time thing, but whatever.

I found out yesterday morning that 37 degrees is too cold for me. I guess with some glove liners and another pair of socks it would have been more tolerable.
