Got some Livestrong Oakleys as a gift.....is it Fredish?

You're internet illiterate of you don't get that reference. But more to the point, nobody in the "real world" has ever used the name "Fred" to refer to a cyclist of whom they did not disapprove. It never happened.
It's a made-up thing that certain weird people on BF.net wish were true because they think it's clever. Go ahead and say "he's a Fred" to one of your riding buddies in reference to a third cyclist. Your buddy will say "he's a what?"

But hey, I am Fred...

You will experience total Fredification is you put those things on your melon. Concerned soul that I am, I've sent you a PM with an address for discreet disposal. Please, carefully pack them before you mail them off, though...

I tried on a pair of the jawbones and they were way too big for me. I ended up ordering a pair of the Oakley Flakjackets.

jawbones were designed around professional cycing. i would only call someone in livestrong jawbones a fred if they were wearing them with a prototypical lance jersey (ie postal or radioshack)

I actually love the color scheme of those, but just can't justify paying more because I'm doing that charity ride thing in order to raise money.

Why the hell do you care if they look freddish to others? If you really care, I think they are a kickass pair of sunglasses, but if you can't wear them proudly, send them off to me.

Even though I've had cancer twice, I dislike Lance and everything about Livestrong. Yes, it's a great charity and everything, I just think that Lance exploited himself too much for this cause. "Oh noes!! I had cancer!! BooHoo me..." That's how I feel about his delivery of the situation. I, myself, is one of the guys who is in the back of the group, silent, not seeking much. If I'm the lead of something, maybe a name recognition, but that's it..
So for me, I wouldn't accept the glasses, I'd just throw them down and break them infront of her. Yes, I would really do that. I cringe when I see radioshack jerseys, I think differently of people who wear livestrong bracelets, and I tell people I hate lance when everyone asks about if he's gonna win the TDF or not...

op - the answer is no.
not sure if i would have chosen them otherwise, but they cost the same as regular jawbones, and they match my team kit (more or less).
the thing i found odd about them is that the yellow "jaw" is more cadmium yellow, than the livestrong/lemon yellow.

We really need to distinguish the difference between a fred and a poseur.
Fred: Quick on the bike, but doesn't conform to cycling fashion sense or bling
Poseur: Slow on the bike, but usually has lots of high tech parts and clothes.
