Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

The combination here is the cool part. Snow + fatbike + Chariot + ski kit + baby bunting = Winter sanity

Anyway, I'll chime in...the Click Stand holding my bike up. Lightweight and packs small (if you order it with shorter sections).

This touring bike turns into a road bike without the baggage!

Yes, Silver Comet Trail, Pumpkine Trestle near Rambo Nursery trail head.

Where was your picture taken? It looks like the same trestle but there is to much greenery surrounding the trail to be that spot.

My recycled cassette bottle opener is pretty sick. Got it from someone here on BF who was making them a while ago, though I can't remember who now. Shout out if it's you!

Same here, but probably for a different reason. The one I'm thinking of is my 1966 Raleigh 3-speed that weighs 50 lb., but rolls like a Cadillac. Great bike to train on, makes everything else easy.

I don't know for sure, I thought it was the longest trestle, but I could be wrong and probably am!

I remember the Rambo Trailhead...had to get a picture of that sign. The hot sun didn't make me feel like Rambo and I left my big knife at home!

It does look like the Pumkinvine trestle. They might have cut the greenery back.

I have ridden past that Rambo Nursery sign so many times that I can visualize every bump and crack in the pavement in that spot.

Hillbillies fit right in over here. Y'all come back and let me know when all y'all are coming.

I have a few NOS Campagnolo C-Record parts that are pretty cool.

I like these best.

Cobalto brakes are nice, but that C Record crank is truly a work of art IMO.

An old Rollfast foldup brochure, same thing for New Departure and a genuine 1955 bicycle magazine ad I framed for Rollfast lightweights.

AND my Rollfast T-shirt I bought on eBay.

I have an NOS 177.5mm C-Record crankset too, but the Cobalto brakeset is much less common.

Someday I'll get the right frameset, but I'm in no rush.

Cool in what way?
I think the Propel is altogether a pretty cool bike, it's got cool wheels and cool components, but if I had to narrow it down to one thing about it was the coolest, I'd say the frame.

But then there's the Vigorelli: a ridiculous bike now. It started out kinda cool in the proper way, but now it's cool only to me, I think. I dig the deep, narrow track bars and the shiny toe clips, but now it has hoods on it, too, and a bar mounted bottle cage. And lights sometimes, too, like last weekend. Perverse, but super cool in its insouciance now.

Old wood tubular rims, Campy Delta brakes - lots of old Campy stuff. Raleigh 753 Team from Joop's stable that I stupidly painted. Ibis Ti stem I gave my girlfriend now my wife in 1992. Old Modolo delta brakes.

Modern:
Extralite stem
Francois made for my kid silk tires
One piece alloy freewheel
Ritchey SoloStream bar/stem

I'm into this for the stuff.

Model Profesional brakes were the best in their day.
Delta brakesets are beautiful too.

I love my Hi-Lo hubs too.

I have the side-pulls and the Kronos levers down in the garage. These happen to be on my desk. The little black thing in front of the track hub is a Bluetooth lactic acid level monitor. The phone is a Meego OS. The left Solenoid was my a project for the B2 in 1986, the right solenoid for the Hellfire missile off topic except both tested with bike parts.

I took this for you:
