I bought a pair of Bont Riot a couple of months ago. They definitely have more room than other road shoes I have, especially in the toe area. Pretty light and very comfortable. When I first got them, I thought there may be durability issues. Though I have had them only a few months, I no longer have that concern. I also have a pair of AGU that have set up for either SPD-SL or regular 2 hole SPD. Really comfortable and I can wear thick socks with them. They may not be available any longer, except maybe Ebay.

My feet aren’t particularly wide. There’s no problem finding a shoe that fits. What I’m looking for is a “walkable” 3-bolt clip less shoe. All the ones I see have a very narrow heel. And whenI try to walk in them I roll my ankles.
Many mountain bike shoes are perfect. Nice wide heels. They just won’t work with currently available power meter pedals.

A friend of mine had the same issue, he wanted a "wide" heel pad. He just wound up screwing a flat piece of metal into the heel pad itself and making a walking plate. Looked funny while riding, but that wasn't the point - made him quite stable while walking.
