The Peugeot in post 1 is relatively 'new to me'. Another classic, another 'I want to ride them all' checked off. (I need a Clive Stuart)
_ForceD_ - Prior owner of the bike switched brakes without removing the center-pull hangers. I have not yet started any Winter refurb projects. Two in the queue.
BTinNYC - Sí, '72. Only had 2 rides before the trainer, not loving 27"wheels + tires it came with, but that will get an improvement.

Looks like a stem problem.

It has become clear that I cannot handle the cold weather. I got bad chilblains on my fingers and toes the previous two winters when I tried to ride in the low 40s and upper 30s. I decided to get a stationary bike I could ride when it was too cold for my body. The bike is a DianmondBack 1260s Rear Wheel Studio Cycle. It is very smooth and quiet. I have had no problems riding for over an hour on it.

My Zwifting setup. I also use Sufferfest/Wahoo sometimes, which I find has better structured workouts when I want that, or more accurately better motivation for structured workouts. I find that structured workouts in Zwift don't match the scenery that is generated in the course, it can't generate hills on the fly. In the Sufferfest the video and music is edited to match the pace, and the hokey story lines give a little motivation. They also have some newer stuff added by Wahoo to put you in the race and feel the surges and hills that the riders experience scaled to your ability. The only problem with that is the smart trainer can't keep up with the constantly changing watts. I also like the "on location" videos. I've done 2 in Tasmania recently.
All of my riding is indoors at the moment even if it hasn't been particularly cold. This is mainly because the setup in the pic is on the 3rd floor of my house and I don't want to bring the bike back downstairs.

All Zwift for me this winter and so far, having a good time with it. Usually by the end of March I'm sick of it and can't wait to get outside again. I'm really trying to raise my fitness level this winter and improve from last year when I was having some breathing issues. Things are going well so far.
This is my view as I breach the top of the Volcano KOM. I was pretty much spent at this point and hate when a ride or race ends with a climb causes I struggle. Lots of cursing can be heard by my wife coming from the basement ha ha
