I did get a picture of a nurse-stump.

yeah...sometimes dealing with cars is safer. go figure.

Took a couple of mental health days off from work as I have been doing lots of long hours with a lot of programming due to our shift to a new data environment. Knew the weather was going to be brutally hot and humid and there would be rain. Got in 85 and was being chased by the storm clouds. The humidity and heat were pretty bad, and I feel pretty whipped. However, I would like to send out my personal thanks to Willis Carrier, the fine gentleman that he was, for coming up the modern AC design.

Did my first club ride in 15 years and it was fun. Rotating paceline with skilled riders who also would slow down and chat occasionally. Wanted to see if I could hang with the “brisk” crowd and fortunately it was a non-issue over 36 miles. Man did the miles roll by quickly.

I also did a paceline ride today... I had 5 ghost riders on my Rouvy ride today . Ok, it wasn't really a pace line, it was me playing around with the settings and hitting 5 versus 1, but I was too lazy to change it once I started pedaling. 49 miles and 3K ft of climbing. Going to try and get an outdoor ride tomorrow, no rain expected and winds off the ocean, so it should be a little cooler and less humid.

Got in 50 today. Started early but the heat and humidity came out with a vengeance. Wind picked up in the last 5 miles, so that was a blessing.

I would have like to had it above 39°F, but no dice. Headwinds tho.

When does it warm up there in the great white north?

it comes & goes starting whenever it feels like it.
Usually by mid May, the southern part of the Mitten is warm. Not the case this year. It comes for a few days, then it's late winter season for weeks.

It's 59°F now, that'd be fine if it was the U.P....

54 miles with 2000’. Got a Strava 3rd place trophy on an obscure segment, but I will take it. Another non-humble brag, a first in my age category for a long segment, and a few other PRs. It was a good day.

Got the elevation gain/mile ratio right on this one. The segment leads are pretty obscure, so they're not a huge deal for me...feeling good at the end of a ride like this, is though.

so far ride quality is supreme. Rolled down road surprisingly easy for 40. Biggest complaint so far is the spacing in gears. Can see a 2nd wheelset w/ nice road tires
