Yep. Tube stock bent on a hydraulic bender...I made several sets with different bends to run in the tunnel. Also did a set for my pursuit bike where I flattened/ovalized the area around the hand grips to make things narrow while still allowing a full circle grip. Couldn't do that on these because of the shifters.

So...where did you order the 6061-T(4?) from? Aircraft Spruce or something? Did you re-heat treat it after bending?

Fixed.
Discount Steel. You can probably find a local source and save shipping, check out metal salvage places who do retail.
No heat treating, it's a bit of a dual edged sword for this application...if you could get a good mandrel bend it might be worth it, I'm trying to find a local source who can do those bends.
Corrosion at the fastener interface is a bit more of a concern given the amount of sweat that pours off in a summer Texas TT...I've tried to minimize direct contact and designed some bits to both stiffen the bars and act as (hopefully) a poor man's sacrificial anode.

New build. I needed something different, and this frameset came up for extremely cheap, so I picked it up. Seems decent enough for now.

Another update to my TT bike:

Derailleurs and brakes are now Record (taken off of my Serotta) instead of Chorus and the crank is now Record Ultra Torque (from ebay). Bars are now 3:1 legal (Easton Attack) just in case I decide to go to Bend, OR this summer for Masters Nationals.
Upcoming goals are PR at District TT Championships and medal in TTT championships.

Moving to a setback position to fix some power problems. This bike had the biggest range of adjustment so it is my rig until I nail down my geometry.

Love the Slice. Curious about your power problems. Were you too scrunched up and therefore getting a drop in expected power? Personally, I found that an extreme upturn in my aerobars was sapping power. I went to the upturn to close the gap between head and hands, but was shocked at how much more comfortable I was when I brought the aerobars back down to a more level position.
