No photos of our cats handy (not at home - yet), but I did find what I think is my favorite coffee cup:

She was the first to be adopted. I ended up with two litters about two months apart. So while I was still was giving away the first litter, I shared photos of this kitten at about 3 weeks. And the person waited patiently for a few more weeks until she was ready.
Named "Patches". Hopefully I'll get some photos back as she gets older. She also has yellow stripes on one of her legs.

Sassy has aged into a much quieter, sleepy cat. And the years roll by.

We lost both our senior cats this summer exactly one month apart, it wasn't a case of one mourning the other however as they pretty much hated each other. Earlier in the year the neighbors moved out and a cat suspiciously like the one we would see in the front window started hanging around our back yard and front porch. My wife told me not to talk to it as she didn't want it hanging around. Shortly after I noticed a food dish and water bowl on our back porch and then I heard her talking to it. Uh huh. After ours passed the house was feeling pretty empty and even though we both agreed when they were gone there would be no more house pets "Miss Kitty" as my wife calls her was soon allowed to come in. I wanted to name her "Patches O'Hoolihan" or "Patches" for short but I was quickly vetoed. While she likes me she ADORES my wife and follows her around like a puppy.

Our latest rescue has turned out to be an ace V-brake mechanic. I heard her crying near the road in a large, empty parcel of land near our house and she came running to me as soon as I got off the bike. She's home safe now.
She's taken a special liking to Otto, our earlier rescue from the gas station. And, of course, she can't sleep without being near her lovely mommy:
And she loves to spend some quality time with her new daddy:
Since we named him Otto, should we name her Mercedes? 🤔

We can even sneak in a quick belly scratch now and then without getting shredded. She's been spayed but not declawed which we were happy to see as we don't believe in declawing.

The funny thing is that when I wrote this I was thinking the same thing. Except that you seem to know more that I about him and the band than I. If your gonna have a one-hit they did good.
