Go get a 6" foam roller. Like, today - you can get them at Target. It's going to ******g hurt, tbh, the relief afterwards will be worth it and it'll get less hurty in time.

Took 1:33 off my best TT time this a.m., but I'm still dead slow. Power meter definitely helped and will help more next time because I'll trust it more.

I am actually impressed. If I didn’t have strava, I am not sure how or if I would have logged my miles. I barely log my flight time, it’s extremely painful.
I wonder if that’s the next thing strava will make you pay for. Hold your mileage history at ransom or threaten to delete it all together like they are some kind of cycling mafia.

My legs felt fine once I was on the bike, no discomfort and surprise I felt like I had power.
I’ll look for it when I get 3 seconds. I have not had to use my car this past year, we live 5 mins from the airport and between my wife in laws and parents I am always able to get there and be picked up. With the move, however, we will live further away, and I will probably start commuting out of Richmond Instead of Newport News so I will need my car.
Inspection is over do, One wheel is completely flat, it’s got about three inches of gunk on the outside and I hit a trash can with my side mirror last year and now I have to ghetto rig that before I get it inspected. Busy day.
First effort to get to the inspection station my mirror fell off.

Oh, this is like Normatecs, though there are cheaper options now. An air compressor drives sequential pressure pockets on full-leg boots, massaging and driving metabolic byproducts out of training up and out of your legs so they can’t pool. I’m probably getting some of that wrong, but they do help recovery, and they especially prevent that inside-the-muscles burning and itching as you try to go to sleep after stupid amounts of training load.

Keep gettin' ****ty sleep and everything'll go to pot; daily riding requires some daily care: stretching/rolling, recovery rides, good sleep, etc. Honestly, I wish that someone would have told me to pay attention to recovery when I was younger - I would have been that much stronger, rather than bumbling along like an idiot oblivious to his own body.

Weather was slightly less stupid here this morning.
How do people do intervals on the TT bike? Even on the trainer, even in slope mode, I can’t get above tempo. Sitting up I can do VO2 max intervals; did that today to get the Jameis done (30x30x30).
