Here is my 80's Guerciotti in its final configuration. All campy drivetrain (mix of record and centaur), Williams Wheels, Selle Italia SLR Gel Flow, Fizik tape, Continental tires, Look carbon KEO pedals, Ultegra stem.
It has been a absolute blast to ride. Its super smooth and quiet. Thanks again to "old fat guy" for the frame

There is nothing like a good lugged Italian steel frame. I am not keen on radial spoking or on low spoke count wheelsets, but that's just my opinion. I believe you when you say the bike is a blast to ride.

Damn, I hit some mud out on a country road the other day. I guess I missed that spot. The paint is all original, gotta love the 80s style. Definitely one of the coolest paint jobs on a bike I have seen. This baby is never going on the roof rack. It gets to ride inside the car with me from now on
Im thinking of changing the dual pivot brakes to single pivot chorus brakes if I can find some. I think dual pivot brakes just look kinda cheap to me. OOh, and a c-record crankset would be sweet too.

Back in the day Ten Speed Imports used to get the frames from Italy bare and painted them here in the states. The quality of the paint here was much better than what they were able to do in Italy. It's a great looking bike, I may be picky but the only thing I would change is using the '06 silver finish Centaur brifters.

Love the yellow on the bottom of the headset, nice touch! Did you ever figure out which model headset it is?

Ha, I think thats actually yellow reflecting from either the fork crown or the cable housings. Silver brifters would look killer, I couldnt pass up the good deal on the records though This bike is def going to be an on going project. Thanks for all the kind words

It rides really nice. It takes a lot of the harshness our of riding on old country roads. Its super quiet and feels effortless to accelerate. Even when riding in a strong wind it is still really stable. I cant say enough praises about this bike.

What can you tell is about those wheels? I'dnever heard of William's cycling before. Which model are they? How are you liking them? Were they expensive?

The wheels I have are Williams Cycling systems 19s in silver( https://www.williamscycling.com/ ). I really like how they ride. They roll very smooth, quick engagement from the freewheel, braking is really fast on them and they look great. I wanted a modern wheel set for the 10spd gear but one that would also look good on an older rig. Keith, the owner, was super nice and went out of his way to make sure I was happy. I couldnt be happier with them. They set me back $500.
