Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Impossible!!

there are some bits without carbon on them, the wheels, brake calipers, front derailer and seat. The stem could be all carbon too, but it only has a carbon faceplate.

If you're talking about the silver bits, they are the brake quick-release buttons.

I believe I mentioned I'd give a review on the wheels after getting some miles on them (the FSA RD-600). Well, I've put in some good time on them, and they've been great. The roads here in Winnipeg aren't known for their smoothness to say the least and these things are true as anything, after many potholes and rough roads in general, no problems, at 6'1" and 160lb so I'm by no means a clyde, but not exactly the smallest guy around either. So if someone's looking for a nice set of wheels that weigh 1400g (claimed by FSA so take it with a grain of salt) I'd recommend them.

The bike as a whole hasn't changed much, except for a Selle Italia SLR xp saddle instead of the FSA one that was on there (much better) and computer with a bracket for the K-wing bars, which are another thing I really enjoy about the bike, wasn't sure how I'd like the flat tops, but they are quite a nice change, especially for someone with larger than normal hands.

The only problem I see in the future is when I'm gonna be in alberta for some riding in the mountains with my 53-39 and a 11-21 cassette, I may invest in a 13-29 just for when I'm seeing the road disappearing into the clouds.

The bike looks really nice. I have a San Marino (one step down from yours) and I really like it and got a great deal too. I was impressed because I hadn't known Marin as a Road Bike Manufacturer.

The wiring for the ergobrain is underneath the hoods. Those buttons are campy's version of a release for your brakes. Campy brakes don't have the little cam thing to make your brakes looser to take you're wheels off, instead they put them on the brifters. You push that little button and it lets the brake levers release more cable.

Another way of saying "If you don't use all campy, you'll be annoyed so just do it anyway"

Just to let the OP know, that is a TRIGON frame made in Asia (Taiwain or Singapore, I can't remember exactly), and they are known for being one of the higher quality composite manufacturers over there. Very nice bike, indeed.

You did good.

I believe it weighed in at 17ish lbs, not a featherweight, but a good amount lighter than my 21lb steel bike.

The loop is mostly flat (like everything else here in the canadian prairies) but has a couple of rises where there are some man made flood control systems.
Quijibo, what loop do you take? I'm looking for a longer loop but I haven't been able to get a nice one longer than 20km. I start at stafford and taylor and ride through assiniboine forest and then arround ass park down Wellington and back down Stafford.

You must work at Lifesports to get the employee disount on Marin.

I was very impressed with the Stelvio the first time I saw it. Looks like a sweet ride. Enjoy!
