Disc brakes for road bikes are marketed like EV's

Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Yeah, it’s a small compromise. I’ve used both with no real issues. I would favour sintered in the Alps or for heavy winter use. Organics for everything else, which is why they are normally the default.

This is the truth. But hydraulic disc brakes have nearly always been the end-game for stopping wheeled vehicles. If there is some tech coming to replace disc brakes, then we can expect to see it first on cars and motorbikes. My guess is that hydraulic discs on bikes are now here for the long haul.

Good point. But we'll likely see changing opinions on every part of the system - rotor size, number/size of pistons, materials, number of rotors - and ABS. Someone's probably working on ABS right now.

Thirty years from now, older riders will be longing for the simpler days of 2024.

Correction; pointed rant. That's why your'e roiled.

Correction number two; Disc brake topic here specific to road bikes.

Roiled? More like amused at the stupidity of this thread. I'm also posting this reply using my Tesla browser, which you would probably consider alien EV technology.
But do I have any regrets about disc brakes or EVs you ask? Well no, not me.

I'm not "roiled," but I sure would like you to explain how you sold 10 bikes per hour, for hours on end. That sounds like a neat trick.

Yeah, even if some buyers purchased more than one bike, it’s difficult to accept the claim. The salient point, however, is that he wishes COVID would return so that he could sell more bikes. If serious, that puts the OP in a special category.

Since your finger is busy self fiddling up yours rather than flipping back to prior post, this is just for you.

You surely need autonomous driving activated because your so lazy brained to either not read prior post or unable to comprehend.

If you're going to BS people, you should at least make your story plausible.

Perhaps he simply holds an informed opinion that is at variance with your opinion.
