Disc brakes for road bikes are marketed like EV's

Yeah, it’s a small compromise. I’ve used both with no real issues. I would favour sintered in the Alps or for heavy winter use. Organics for everything else, which is why they are normally the default.

We must all remember that the stuff we currently think is the best and final solution - disc brakes, carbon fiber, wheel sizes, bike geometry, etc... will eventually be supplanted by something else. Some will flop. Some will come and go. Progress isn't a straight line. But it marches on.

This is the truth. But hydraulic disc brakes have nearly always been the end-game for stopping wheeled vehicles. If there is some tech coming to replace disc brakes, then we can expect to see it first on cars and motorbikes. My guess is that hydraulic discs on bikes are now here for the long haul.

Good point. But we'll likely see changing opinions on every part of the system - rotor size, number/size of pistons, materials, number of rotors - and ABS. Someone's probably working on ABS right now.

But do I have any regrets about disc brakes or EVs you ask? Well no, not me.

I'm not "roiled," but I sure would like you to explain how you sold 10 bikes per hour, for hours on end. That sounds like a neat trick.
