Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

My Cayman required an engine drop to change spark plugs due to one that was hard to reach.

That's not uncommon on modern cars. (The timing chain)

This is what you have to do to change the air filters on the 991 variant of the 911.

I dozed off a couple of times and missed half of the home runs but saw the other three.

I entered a contest to win a Canyon Endurace. Just got an e-mail saying I did not win. Instead, they're giving the bike to some joker named Noah.

For my trouble they are offering free shipping on a bike if I buy one. I'd rather pay the shipping on a free bike.

I have no idea. My last was the 997. It was much easier to access the internals.

Got the same email. That free shipping is a $100 value! Can’t wait to place my order.

I really want to start a new thread titled "It's OK to remain the same speed as you get older" or something like that. But, the purple star and all that.

Must.... resist.... trolling...

I think some V6 minivans had the same issue. Maybe still do.

What about "it's ok to not get older"? Would that be allowed? AFAF.

Oh go ahead. Set an example for the rest of us.

How does one go about acquiring a purple star? Is there an application process or do they just offer it out of the blue? Another question I have long had. Do you purple star folk ever have meetings among the lot of you? There is one among you, who I have had on ignore for years, due to his offensive posts. I was shocked to see him show up in the banned user’s thread as the one doing the banning.

Normally when I wake up at three, I just go ahead and make some coffee and get on with it. Today I slept for two more hours. This well rested thing could be my new addiction.

I think it’s perfectly okay to get faster with age. Why settle for less.

I've got a cold or some other evil virus. I took a test this morning and I'm negative for coronavirus but... the test expired on 1/4/23.

And my 996 has more wiggle room than the 997! Still not fun trying to do anything back there though.

Yes. Yes I do. I’m a curious one. I thought they might even get together over the fourth for hotdogs and potato salad.
