Unclear if I fit in this class.
here you go Velo Vol an 80's classic with a 1 minute 58 second intro. You are welcome.
Yep. The way it's structured the value will decay. Like one of those leveraged daily-resetting funds--you don't want to hold long term.

It's more about the stack and reach than whatever size they name it, My Seven is custom (for someone else) and I measure it as a 65 but it has a shorter top tube than a 63 I had. I had a 64 which was shorter than a 62 I have.

I have multiple friends who rode in the snow yesterday. In hindsight, I wish I had. Riding in the snow is cool. Riding when it’s blowing wind and dumping rain is miserable. Yes, I know. I’m soft AF.

The one new road bike I ever bought, before I knew about fit and such, was a 56(fitted by the shop owner). I was never able to get comfortable on that bike, and soon moved on to 58, which I rode for years. Then my grail bike came up in a 61 and I bought it and made it fit. Now I ride 60 exclusively, except for that one. And that one remains my favorite bike to ride. 92 PDG Paramount. Tange Prestige tubing. Tubular tires add to the fun.
don’t have a road frame - but have three off road :
‘91 PDG 70 (TIG’d)
‘92 PDG 70 (silver brazed, lugged)
‘92 PDG 90 (silver brazed, lugged)
PDG 90 rebuild currently in process - purchased as a bare frame / fork around 20 years ago ... going slow - have two speeds : slow and slower
a number of my bike friends also have PDG Paramounts
just one has a Waterford Paramount

20 years ago, I was much tougher when conditions got adverse (by So Cal standards). Not hard AF like those guys, but moderately firm, at least. These days, tough as pudding.

Akadema! You don’t see a lot of those out in the world - at least in my area. My daughter used an Akadema catchers mitt when she was 10, and my “dad glove” is one of their higher-end models. I’ve had it for 8 years, and it’s still in great condition.

I like the top tube to be 59. A few mm either way on the seat tube doesn't matter so much. I like an uncut (300mm) steer tube with the stem close to the top, so head tube length only determines how many spacers are under the stem. I prefer 220 mm head tube or thereabout so as to not have too many spacers.
I like the quick handling of a shorter wheelbase and steep head angle but also want stability at speed.
