Talking on the phone is like pulling teeth. Unless it's something specific that's far better addressed verbally, I strongly prefer texts or emails (and, strangely, this is preference resides at both ends of the spectrum - for informal chit-chat, gimme a text; for more business-related stuff, I prefer to have something in writing so that I can refer to it later when the other person invariably ****s something up, so text or email; there's a gray area in between where it's quick and easy to hammer something out verbally, but it's usually something somewhat detail-orientated while nothing mission-critical, so it's a small gray area).

Got an email that my T-shirt was ready for pick-up, so I went to Twin Six and I picked it up. It's a new favorite -
[not my pic]
Of course, I had to google and play a "how to explain cassette tapes to a kid" video for my son.

Anyone know anything about cameras here?
Looks like the Canon 6D MkII sensor is TERRIBLE. Like not as good as 9.5 year old cameras bad.
I must admit to taking a peek at the K-1 as an alternative. Glass situation is iffy, though. Are people adapting C/N lenses to these things like they do to Sony? Also AF seems not good.

Yo. I'm Holly. I inline speedskate, I cycle, I kickbox and I hang out here from time to time.
But as of a week ago I've been sidelined. Crashed on the bike, 2 breaks in my wrist and off the skates and bike for at least 6 weeks. Super annoyed. I find out in 10 days just how many pins and plates were put in my wrist. In the meantime, I'm bored.
So I may be back.

K-1 is awesome, but people are probably not adapting Canon lenses to it - the K-1 is a full-fledged, full frame DSLR, which means that the mirror needs room to swing. IIRC, Pentax has maybe a ~1mm shorter register distance than Canon - prolly not enough room for glassless adapters. Besides, Pentax has some sweet lenses of their own. IBIS is awesome, and the Pixel Shift use of IBIS is really sweet for (mostly) static subjects.
The Sony a7 series, OTOH, is morrorless, so it's got tons of room for adapters, even for rangefinder lenses.

Nonetheless, bummer regarding the breaks, get well soon!

That's funny., Brought me back to the first one I saw. Dad convinced me the car coming up behind us was going in reverse, since it didn't have headlights. It was a 65.
