My personal thoughts on P&R and Trollheim:
They're both behind locked doors, so it's not like they're ruining the reputation of the forum, or that of any individual members either.
Trollheim is just a goof-off room for some guys who like that kind of stuff. It's clearly not for everybody. But they're not bothering anybody, or any individuals, so they're easy to ignore. If you don't like that kind of stuff, don't go there.
P&R is a different story. At one time it was a bonafide cesspool. But that's no longer so. We've done some targeted bombing and cleanup in there, and I'm convinced ordinary citizens can go in there and have a decent albeit spirited political conversation. They've been reminded of the rules, the hard way, and they are in compliance.
But bear in mind that it's still politics, and just like most people are cautious in real life about where they discuss politics, because of the inherent volatility involved, you must realize that under the anonymity of the internet you will definitely hear opinions 180° different than yours. And it will sound personal, and there's no way to discuss politics without that element being there, unfortunately. So it's going to be pretty rough for some folks.
But all the regular forum rules still apply, no name-calling, no insults, no porn, etc. Just hardcore political discussion. To quote something my boss at my very first job (Western Union) used to always say, "If you can't take the heat, stay out of the kitchen".

I get bonehead of the day award I was browsing through pictures on my phone and found this picture of my bike before I changed my crankset 2 years ago. If you look closely, you can see the HollowTech name on the crank. I think I took this picture after a sloppy ride since the bike is filthy even for my low standards.
Ugh, Photobucket fail.

The organization flies veterans to D.C. to view monuments, in this case Vietnam.
When they return to the airport this evening the band will be part of the welcoming crew.
Stay tuned for a report.

It stopped here, but it looks ominous to the west. But the cat needs his meds. Parked the bike under cover this a.m. but didn't think to bring a rain jacket as the forecast suggested the storms would only be in earlier in the day.

She's in Ireland visiting family. I had 30 Euros left over from my 2013 Italy trip. I gave them to her to buy me something authentically Irish. And she drives less than I do, if you can believe that.
Think I will hop the trolley and come back into town for the bike.
